Albertville Friendly City Days

  • Date: 06/09/2021  (all day)

We’re looking forward to putting on a great festival for you! Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all of the information on our website is tentative and subject to change. Please check back in late May for current info.  —The Friendly City Days Committee

Kick off summer with 5 days of fun! Thousands of people gather in Albertville each year to enjoy some Summer fun. There’s something for all ages at Friendly City Days. The City Wide Garage Sale kicks off the festival on Wednesday morning. For the sports fanatic there’s Softball, Soccer, a Bean Bag Toss Tournament and a 5K Run. For the kids there will be a Carnival, Clowns, and for the whole family — Fireworks!

Thursday night there will be live local music during the popular crafts beer night. Friday and Saturday night music features IV Play and Dirty Word as the headliners, with at least 5 other bands playing a variety of great music throughout the weekend.

The Albertville Royalty Program’s “Beyond The Crown” initiative works hard during the year extending the volunteerism of our program beyond our friendly city of Albertville. Beyond The Crown will be hosting a lemonade stand on Thursday from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m. on Main Street in front of the Lions Shelter supporting “Alex’s Lemonade Stand Week” which benefits childhood cancer research. While Alex bravely fought her own cancer, she set up a lemonade stand every year raising money for Childhood Cancer research and in her memory, alongside thousands of others around the US, we honor her as we raise money for Childhood Cancer Research. All money raised during our stand goes directly to this cause.

Saturday activities include a Classic Car Show, the Fire Department Open House, Pedal Tractor Pull, Craft & Vendor Fair, Kiddie Parade, Toddler Town, and Bingo.Ferris Wheel

In addition to the popular Grande Day Parade on Sunday, be sure to check out the softball tournament championship game, wristband day at the carnival, live music, and the Albertville Royalty Coronation.
