The citizens of Albertville are invited to attend the City's truth-in-taxation public hearing on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 6:15 p.m. at City Hall to discuss the proposed 2025 budget and property tax levy. 

In September, the City proposed a preliminary levy increase of 5.4 percent. Therefore, the city proposed a $5,820,438 levy for taxes payable 2025.

Albertville's 2025 debt service budget has increased from 2024 by $5,969. The general fund operating budget has increased by $292,398 (which includes capital outlay) for a net levy increase of $298,367 or 5.4 percent. The levy funds debt, capital and the services provided by the City. Included in the 2025 budget is anticipated Local Government Aid of approximately $261,315, which will assist with infrastructure expenses.

The 2025 property taxes are comprised of city, school district, and county tax levies, and all three jurisdictions host public hearings and welcome comments from residents.
